On these warm summer days, while many people are having holidays, trips and for sure working, we as runners are also trying to plan runners’ trips for the registered races in additon to those.
I assume that the ones who chose to run marathons have already started to trainings for the race, but the others who plan to choose shorter distances, should be in the phase of planning their race calendar for this autmn season.
Here I prepared a list of road races in Turkey and Europe with a personal elimination for some of them considering travel and popularity issues and put as a calendar on to the site to keep it up to date.
In additon here I put short info for some road races which might attract you while planning your race calendar.
Stockholm Half
The Stockholm Half Marathon is run on an inspiring course through the central districts of the Swedish capital. It is held on September 10th this year.
During the race you will pass many of Stockholm’s most famous landmarks and buildings; Karlberg’s Castle, the City Hall, the Royal Palace, the Swedish Parliament, the Old Town and the Royal Opera House.
Berlin Marathon

The Berlin Marathon is a major running and sporting event held annually in Berlin, Germany. The Berlin marathon which is one of the largest and most popular road races in the world will be held on September 25th this year. Along with five other races, it forms the World Marathon Majors, a series offering a $1 million prize purse to be split equally between the top male and female marathoners. 40k people run marathon every year with more than one million people’s support on the streets.
Ignite Istanbul
Get ready for Ignite Istanbul 10k race, which is being arranged for the third time by Puma and experience the great 10k route along Bostancı coast.
Marathon du Medoc
Created in 1984 by a group of passionate marathon fans, the marathon nicknamed the “Medoc” has become a must for many marathon runners over the years.
The day of the Marathon, with the show before the departure, the events during the race with over 90% of runners in disguise, some 52 other events alongside the race, 22 refreshment stands, 21 food stands and special gourmet stands (oysters, ham, steak, cheese, ice cream, Medoc attic, etc.) and the presence of hundreds of disguised and delighted school children.
Dalyan Caretta Run
Dalyan Caretta Run will be held on 29th October 2016 for the first time in 14K and Half Marathon categories. Register now if you want to run in Dalyan’s superb nature and be part of this unique experience!
